As part of strengthening our financial governance and supporting sustainable growth, we are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Finance Manager to lead our finance function.

Role Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day and strategic management of the company’s finances, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, and effective cash flow management in a funeral insurance environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
  • Oversee premium income, claims payments, commissions, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with FSCA, SARS, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and support audits.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ finance experience, including management responsibility.
  • Experience in insurance or FSCA-regulated environments (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of South African tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
