As South Africa is preparing for a nationwide shutdown against gender-based violence (GBV), We as the 21st Century Funeral Services cannot remain silent. Every day, we work with families who have faced painful loss of their loved ones due to violence. This reality reminds us that dignity is not only something we honour in death, but something every person deserves while they are alive. To stand with the women and children of our country, we are introducing the #R21ForHer Solidarity Pledge.

What is the #21ForHerPledge?

For every new policy taken up with us from today going forward, we will donate R21 to Women for Change, an organisation working to protect women, raise awareness, and push for stronger action against GBV. This pledge is our way of taking real, meaningful action. Even small contributions, when combined, create big support and help strengthen the fight for safety, dignity, and justice.

Why This Matters

Gender-based violence continues to hurt our families, communities, and the future of our country. As a trusted funeral service brand for over 20 years, we have witnessed the heartbreak that comes from violence and we believe that we must be part of the solution by ensuring that Women and Children are protected.
